WBA Ministry Teams

Block Party Team

Team Leader -John Coin
John is the pastor of Anchor Baptist Church.

At the 2007 Annual Meeting, the Block Party Team became a ministry team.  Each church is encouraged to have a member on this team.  The team will be trained to assist churches with Block Parties.  Each team leader will be able to supervised and aid in training church teams.  This will help coordinate and enhance the work of the churches as the team members see how this ministry can strenthen their church, reach out to the lost, and impact children and families in our communities as we seek ways to minister to them.

Check out our Block Parties link for information on the Block Party and its policies.

Evangelism
Team Leader- Rev. Greg Howard

Greg is the pastor of Holland Baptist Church

The team wants to help with resources and encouragement as each church holds an evangelistic event during the coming church year.  This may be an Evangelistic Block Party, passing out Cold Water in Jesus’ Name, Tent Revival or whatever outreach is appropriate for your community.

Resources for evangelism training are available through the associational office.

Church Health and Growth
Team Leader Needed

The task of the Church Health and Growth team is to strengthen churches.  One way that happens is through training opportunities for Sunday School. VBS, Worship, and Discipleship Training.

Another task of this team is to promote fellowship between the churches, their members and their pastors.

Cooperative Missions
Team Leader – Rev. Bob King

Bob is the pastor of Charity Baptist Church.

The Cooperative Missions Team works with the mission churches and plants in a supportive role.  They can serve to communicate the needs of the church plants to the churches in order to partner in resources and prayer.

A large portion of this teams task is to educate and involve the churches and their members in missions worldwide.  This is done through supporting the International Missions and North American Missions , Mission Studies and Weeks of Prayer as people learn and give in a concentrated way.  Providing training for ongoing missions education and support of the Cooperative Program are also ways that this team can get involved to support a church missions program.
